Reports around the internet have suggsted that it is possible to unlock the dormat fourth core on certain batches of triple-core Phonem II X3 720 CPU's when used with certain motherboards that supports AMD's Advanced Clock Calibration overclocking technique.The workaround makes them equivalent to Phenem II X 920s,which sell for considerably more money.The reports started out as romors on tech websites,and the process was quickly replicated by users around the world.Phenom X3 are often complete X4s with one core disabled because of instability,so even the spare core can be unlocked,there's no gurantee the CPU will rn smoothly.
